
There's no firmware update for this hard drive, nothing. And they insist all you need to do is restart your Mac and that the drive will suddenly show up (of course it won't). I had already scoured through the FAQs and community support had run disk utility making sure that external HD were also selected had "turned it off and back on", etc). You get on a chat with one of them and they make you do all the things that any reasonably IT-savvy person would do before contacting support (i.e. And the WD customer service is absolutely f*cking useless. trying to get it to even show up on a new Macbook Pro running Catalina?
